Berry’s Jewellers Opens The First UK Panerai Lounge Outside London. Family-run, independent jewellers, Berry’s, is delighted to open the first exclusive Panerai Watch Lounge in the UK outside London.   On the first floor of the Berry’s store in the luxurious Victoria Quarter shopping complex in Leeds, the Panerai Lounge has been designed by the same team that created the watch brand’s London Bond Street store and uses several identical elements including submarine themed cabinets and a circular magnifying cabinet that allows customers to view the finer details of a Panerai timepiece more closely.  Taking inspiration from Panerai’s long association with the Royal Italian Navy, the lounge has a distinct nautical feel and the floor tiles, which are made from Florentine marble, provide a link to brand’s Italian roots. The lounge houses the largest collection of Panerai watches outside London and gives enthusiasts in the north of England the opportunity to view and purchase the latest pieces without having to travel too far.  Berry’s knowledgeable watch experts are also on hand to guide customers through their watch-buying experience.    From its origins in Florence in the 1860s, Panerai has been a name synonymous with innovation, and the careful balance of function with timeless design.  Founder of the family business, Giovanni Panerai, quickly established himself as a very skilled watchmaker.  His son and grandson expanded the business upon his death with a range of watches, compasses, torches and depth gauges and soon became the official supplier of high-precision mechanisms to the Royal Italian Navy.
